Cobrina wooden furniture collection by Torafu Architects

As always i am happy to see furniture collections like this one, made by the Japanese Studio Torafu Architects. They has designed small and lightweight products made of oak, the name Cobrina derives from the Japanese expression "Coburi-na" which is used to described small and undersized items. The whole nine pieces surfaces and legs are made in rounded edges. One functional and great looking collection, good job!

Stuck with white glue and screws, the base is one meter in diameter and it is supported with steel frame, the finishing element is handmade woven fabric that is rounded between the wooden structure. The silhouette reminds a little of the Lastika Armchair.

REVOLVING CHAIR by JEON KYUNG

"Rotating straight lines to form a smooth curve, Korean designer Jeon Kyung Ok has created the ‘revolving chair’.The furniture piece consists of multiple rectangular frames, which are gradually off-set one after the other, enabling its structural stability. The moving, wave-like appearance is generated as one recognizes the collection of elements as a whole, as opposed to a series of individual geometric components."
