Share Portable Park Chair by Thomas Bernstrand

Share Portable Park Chair Designed by Thomas Bernstrand
"Share chairs are lightweight outdoor seats designed to nest within each other as they attach to an immovable base. Like the attachable trolleys used in super- markets and airports, the chairs are equipped with coin-operated locking mechanisms that link them together when not in use. Made for parks, city squares and shopping centres, the chairs are mobile seats that individuals can place where they want to. Share chairs provide more flexibility than fixed seating, as they can be positioned to face the sun, enjoy the shade, or take advantage of the view. The chair’s locking mechanism can be operated by a coin or a token, encouraging users to return the chairs to the correct location after use. Designed similarly to stackable chairs, Share nests inside each another, making them easy to store when returned to base."

Synapse Chair by Andrew Perkins

"Structural comfort and thoughtful use of materials are at the heart of this piece. All the necessary joints of a chair are distilled into one component. The stainless steel component allows the chair to stack and provides a measure of spring to the user."

Chair Exhibition "Puzzle for living" by Konstantin Achkov

I`m having the great pleasure to present you the eye candy exhibition “Puzzle for living”. Which was shown at Gallery Credo Bonum in Sofia, Bulgaria the participants Konstantin Achkov and Petar Zaharinov displayed furniture that can be assembled like three-dimensional puzzles. They are in two different types "put together" and "interlocking puzzles". The important thing  about Konstantin chairs, which i like most is that these chairs are assembled without glue, nails, screws or anything else. They were produced from 18mm beech plywood and cut out with CNC router. It`s wonderful to see such good ratio of function and shape.

Khodi Feiz design for Offecct

"Observing those “moments” which we engage in while seated was the key inspiration for this project. Noticing that we rarely “just sit”, we started to reflect on all the activities we do while sitting: all the moments that we read, we drink a cup of coffee, we work, we engage in conversation… ‘Moment’ was born out of these situations.
We believe that this multi-dimensionality requires new solutions that are more reflective of our activities, just as the old wooden school chair with an integrated tablet in the context of the classroom. We wanted to create a chair, which is a hybrid, an integral piece composed of two intertwined functionalities that are seamlessly merged into one. And in turn, reflects our daily activities in larger settings such as lounges, receptions, collaborative spaces and offices, and even perhaps in your home when you’re reading the morning paper while enjoying your coffee or working on your laptop.
Cold-foam Moulded and upholstered in one integral structure and complimented by an articulating table in powder coated aluminium and available in a variety of feet configurations and finishes, the Moment is a seamless fit into Offecct’s conscientious and progressive range of furniture."

Bento by Form Us With Love for One Nordic Furniture Company

Called Bento, the series comprises a chair and three tables with wide bent-wood legs.
“The broad legs are a wink at the tradition of bending wood, but at the same time it’s a bit bold,” says Petrus PalmĂ©r of Form Us With Love. “It’s definitely messing with your preconceptions of Nordic design.”

‘Ottawa Collection,’ by Karim Rashid for BoConcept

The Ottawa Collection includes a complete dining room set with table, chairs, sideboard and cabinet. A light-hearted line of accessories complements the set, creating an entire environment for urbanites.
The minimalist but never ordinary style offers unique features and precise detailing that make each piece hard to resist. The dining table features a soft slanting under-skirting and leg clusters that make it welcoming. Inspired by nature, the dining chair celebrates the welcome simplicity of the leaf that creates an elegant cross-table profile when pushed in, and like the table, sits on a forest of legs, perfect for tucking in your feet. The sideboard has sensual and intuitive handles that are really functional eye candy. Colorful inserts can be used to customize the handles and ends of the sideboard piece.
The cabinet has large graphic easy-to-use handles that add a whimsical element and come in two colors, oak or green. Together, the pieces create an urban environment that is smart and savvy.
Accessories that complete the line include a bold black and white fingerprint rug created to speak about the “new global uniqueness where we are all empowered to express our individuality”, suggests Rashid.
